What This Site Does
Comparing online exercise science programs is hard because the facts sit on different school pages, and some schools publish a price per credit while others publish a yearly rate. We collect 168 online programs at 123 schools into one place, put cost, credits, format, and accreditation side by side, and rank each program against others at the same degree level.
Every program has its own review, and every ranking explains why a program appears where it does. Guides, career pages, and certification pages use the same sources, so a figure on one page can be checked against the others.

Taylor Rupe is the Founder & Editor of Online Exercise Science Degree and a software engineer. Taylor reviews each school's own program pages, IPEDS institutional data, and Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data to build comparable rankings and reviews of online exercise science programs, and keeps the limits of that data plain to readers.

How We Verify Programs
Researchers read each school's own program, tuition, and admissions pages in September 2026 and recorded what the school states: credits, per-credit rate, format, start dates, admissions rules, and certification preparation. We then joined that record to federal IPEDS data for graduation rates and completions, and checked accreditation against the CAAHEP and CASCE program lists. The ACSM and NSCA exam rules now depend on those accreditations, so the check matters.
Each program review lists the school pages we used. When a source does not publish a figure, the page leaves it out rather than guessing. The methodology page explains how the six scored factors work and what each one weighs.
Our Editorial Standards
- Primary sources first. Costs and formats come from the school, graduation rates from IPEDS, pay from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and accreditation from the accreditor's own list.
- No invented figures. We do not estimate or fill gaps. If a school does not publish a number, we leave it off.
- Data dates on every page. Program data was last verified in September 2026, and each page shows when it was updated.
- No promises. Pay figures describe an occupation, not what a school's graduates will earn. Finishing a degree does not guarantee a job or a certification.
Corrections
If a price, requirement, or accreditation on a page is out of date, email the editor with the page address and a link to the school's page. We check every report against the source and correct verified errors.
How the Site Is Funded
Online Exercise Science Degree is paid when a reader asks a school in a sponsored listing for information or enrolls, and every paid placement is labeled where it appears. Payment buys a labeled placement and nothing else. It does not decide which programs are ranked or in what order, and a school cannot pay to move.
